Beyond the flexible industry concept

Flexible industry not only means being able to customize standard equipment, but also being able to work on tailor-made projects. Two cases we have created are the customization of the HP compact manual parts washer for a luxury watch shop and customization of the Washer 900 E POWER to reduce production times by increasing safety and productivity.

In the case of the HP compact, the customer needed to integrate and implement new processing stations into the production process. The main objective was to continue to guarantee fast and excellent processes by combining two systems in a single solution: on the one hand the processing and washing process, on the other the rinsing and drying process. Our customized solution was to create an operational station that involves the four phases in a limited space, so as to minimize the time between one and the other.

In the case of the Washer 900 E POWER, the customer wanted to combine washing and drying in a single solution, reducing manual handling of the pieces and production time to a minimum, and programming the washing cycles according to the technology and number of pieces . With our customization we have equipped the company with an efficient combined system that has speeded up and improved the manufacturing process of their products and daily productivity, and eliminated some manual processing steps that previously required a lot of time.

 

The equipment we use for the creation of our parts washers

To continue to ensure high quality, we are currently using this equipment: the Cultlite Penta LME 3015 with the new laser cutting, and the Salvagnini B3 folder. Let's see them in detail.

As regards the new laser cutting of the Cultilite Penta LME 3015, LME laser systems combine the ability to generate products at very high quality standards with high productivity and low operating costs. The precision of the movement is ensured thanks to the best linear motors currently available on the market, which, together with the fiber laser source, allow high dimensional precision to be obtained both in the cutting of carbon steel and stainless steel. These characteristics, combined with the simplicity and stability of the optical path, converge towards optimized and reliable results. The advanced design and implementation of fluid dynamics in the Cutlite Penta cutting head allows for high-pressure cuts with significantly lower nitrogen consumption than the competition. This optimization translates into significant economic savings in production. All these features make the LME laser system one of the most efficient and reliable currently available on the market. The EVO3 cutting head is equipped with a capacitive sensor as well as contact and temperature sensors to ensure complete and accurate control during the cutting process. Fiber laser sources offer considerable versatility, allowing the cutting of a wide range of metals.

The Salvagnini B3 bending machine was designed by integrating the features and benefits of electric and hydraulic press brakes with Salvagnini's profound expertise in automation, software, mechanics and electronics. The available automation devices combine productivity and flexibility, adapting to both kit and batch-one production. The technical solutions adopted allow us to preserve both human resources and the environment, maintaining high levels of productivity. The architecture enhances the versatility of the machine, reducing restrictions related to the geometry of the parts. The integrated adaptive technologies make the intelligent system, eliminating waste and part corrections, and expanding the range of products that can be produced.

It is important to specify that, despite the use of safe and high quality machinery, for welding and finishing we rely on the attentive human eye of our operators. Furthermore, every single machine is tested individually to ensure its operation and performance.
