For a company with particular needs for washing industrial parts, it can be complicated to find suitable solutions on the market without requiring customization. In this case study we will see how we supported a customer who needed a three-stage manual parts washer for large and very heavy parts.
The Client
It is a multinational that works internationally between Europe, America and Asia, a customer of one of our distributors. The company specializes in the control of contamination from fatty substances, chemicals and fixed residues and works in various sectors, including aerospace.
During the cleaning phase, he needed to meticulously check both the parts to be washed and the equipment to be maintained, even with the naked eye.
The Target
The customer could not find a washing station on the market that met his needs. He needed to wash large and very heavy pieces in three phases within the same machine in order to reduce washing times and speed up production, but without penalizing the high quality control.
Our distributor had already identified the suitable washing product, an aqueous detergent to be heated to a maximum temperature of 45°. Therefore we focused on the second phase to find the right machine to start from based on the customer's needs and requirements.In short, needs were:
- Reduce washing times;
- Maintain the high quality standard of the washed pieces.
The Solution
Once we had identified the suitable washing product we were able to concentrate on choosing the basic machine. In this case we chose the Top Cleaner 90 Bio Power, which already provides manual washing and has an integrated tank for heated detergent.
To best customize this machine we had to understand what the maximum size and weight of the pieces to wash were. As regards dimensions, we are talking about components up to 2.8 meters in length and 60 centimeters in depth, while the maximum weight to be handled was 100 kg. We have created a parts washer that can also support several quintals.
Once we had analyzed the dimensions of the pieces to be washed and ascertained the desired washing times, we arrived at the most suitable solution, implementing the three-phase washing system in the same machine with manual control.
Rersults
The quality control in the various production sites of this customer is very high and thanks to this solution they can have complete supervision over the cleaning of the pieces and the final result, also speeding up the production process. Thanks to this customized parts washer, he also managed to improve the maintenance standard and safety of his workers.
The customer was very satisfied with the result obtained and, precisely for this reason, after an initial period of checking the numbers, he decided to order a second machine and plans to create two more specific ones for another product they produce.
