UG-300: ultrasonic parts washer for the automotive sector

Written by Geicos group

Innovation, research, and continuous improvement: these are the cornerstones of the Geicos Group, which today presents its first machine dedicated to the needs of the automotive and highly repetitive production industries. The new UG-300 (Geicos Ultrasonic 300-liter) is born from this philosophy, combined with the growing demand from our distributors who have been operating in the industrial ultrasonic cleaning sector for years..

Following the in-depth analysis already dedicated to ultrasonic technology and its advantages over traditional systems – which you can read here: Ultrasonic Cleaning: How It Works and Why Choose It
Geicos is entering the field with a new technology.

Why a new ultrasound machine?

In the automotive industry, the need to quickly and efficiently clean very small components—often mass-produced in hundreds or thousands of units per day—is a constant.

40 kHz technology ensures the best balance between gentleness and cleaning power, and is ideal for removing oil, metal particles, and machining residues even from complex geometries or very small cavities..

La UG-300 nasce quindi per combinare:

  • Correct, effective, and industry-proven technology;
  • Geicos robustness and reliability;
  • A refined industrial aesthetic, consistent with our machine line;
  • Easy maintenance, thanks to the layout of the technical components.

A project that we developed also thanks to the feedback and direct requests of our distributors, who were already using ultrasound from other manufacturers and encouraged Geicos to propose a proprietary solution..

How the UG-300 works

We designed this ultrasonic parts washer to ensure precision and efficiency even in the most intensive production environments. Below are its main functional features..

Pneumatic platform with “shaking” movement

The loading basket is moved pneumatically with a vertical shaking system. This movement amplifies the ultrasound action and helps remove impurities even from hard-to-reach areas.

Side transducers for simplified maintenance

The 40 kHz transducers are installed on the sides of the tank, not on the bottom. This technical choice:

  • Facilitates replacements;
  • Reduces machine downtime;
  • Improves the distribution of ultrasonic waves throughout the bath.

Control, safety and intelligent process management

The UG-300 includes a series of advanced systems designed to maximize safety and operational continuity:

  • Programmable PLC screen;
  • Minimum level sensor;
  • Safety sensor on the lid;
  • Completely insulated tank and lid;
  • Integrated shaking system.

A starting point for new applications

The UG-300 represents Geicos' first step into the world of ultrasonic cleaning. Next phases of the project will include:

  1. Gathering feedback from distributors;
  2. Optimizations based on testing and extended use;
  3. Development of additional models and capabilities.

Although Geicos was new to the ultrasound sector, collaboration with expert partners and a commitment to in-house engineering has resulted in a robust, reliable product designed to last.

Future prospects

In the coming months, we will continue to collect data, improve the machine, and develop a range dedicated to industrial cleaning with ultrasonic technology.
